Mamelodi Sundowns FC have launched their new 'Rise Kit' third jersey for the 2026/27 season. The white-and-blue strip, unveiled on National Children's Day, carries a social message championing children's rights and empowerment across Africa. The team, sitting first in the Betway Premiership with 23 points from seven wins and two draws, will wear the kit as they continue their push for the title.

The design is inspired by the limitless African sky, with its colours symbolising hope, peace, and opportunity. The kit aligns with the club's season-long 'Never Stop Rising' campaign. Club ambassador and former captain Hlompho Kekana highlighted the kit's purpose, stating it aims to inspire children to dream beyond the skies and rise above their circumstances. He added that it serves as a reminder to those in leadership to create environments that nurture and protect young people.

Kit details and match debut

The Rise Kit will make its on-pitch debut this Saturday, 31 October, when the league leaders host Durban City in a Betway Premiership fixture. They are unbeaten in their last five matches, a run of three wins and two draws that includes a 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants last Tuesday, where S. Ndlovu scored the winner. Their recent form has seen them score 23 goals while conceding only eight this season. The upcoming match against tenth-placed Durban City offers a chance to extend their unbeaten run.

Two versions of the jersey are available for supporters. The Authentic Match Shirt, priced at R2,399, features PUMA's ULTRAWEAVE performance fabric, along with dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies for moisture management and temperature regulation. The Replica Shirt, made from 100% recycled polyester, has a relaxed fit and costs R1,299 for adults and R1,199 for kids. Both go on sale from Friday, 30 October, at official PUMA stores, Totalsports, Studio 88, and Takealot.

With top scorer T. Matthews, who has three goals this season, leading the line, the team will look to continue their strong form when they wear the new kit for the first time against 10th-placed Durban City. The squad comes into the match with no reported injuries or suspensions from the data, aiming to build on their recent 1-0 victory.
